Functional Nutrition Assessment
This is the “meat and potatoes” session where we will sit down and go over your history (medical, nutritional) and lifestyle patterns (diet, exercise, stress, environment) as well as any pertinent lab work and medications to create PICTURE of your nutrition and see where you are on the continuum of health. From there we will assess what your biggest nutrition needs are, and work together to create a ROADMAP for how to get there. This will include assessment of nutritional needs and avenues for replenishing deficiencies, diet recommendations to meet your specific gut, metabolic and lifestyle needs, and meal planning to get you started. We will discuss and order any particular nutritional labs at this visit as well, and then create a plan of incremental steps to move you down the path of life change and good health! This session typically runs 2 hours so that we can make sure you are confident and understand the plan.
Follow-up Sessions
During these sessions we will talk, assess how you’re doing, answer questions, provide targeted coaching, and address any dietary obstacles. We will work together to fine tune your nutrition goals and build on your progress, as well as work through lab results and recommend any strategic changes in diet, supplements, lifestyle, etc. Length is typically 30-60 minutes, depending on your goals and preferences.
Child Nutrition
Initial Evaluation - What To Expect
At your child’s initial evaluation we will walk through his or her medical history, developmental and growth patterns, nutrition status, and eating patterns with a specific eye to uncovering nutritional needs and health imbalances that can help guide our plan of care. From there we will work together to discuss what will help YOUR child – creating individualized nutrition recommendations and goals that will realistically fit your family environment and specific needs. We will discuss age-appropriate nutrition needs, work through strategies to help you get started, address any specific nutrition concerns and develop a plan to help your little one (or teenager) thrive! This typically takes an hour so we can answer any questions and get you off to a good start!
